As an advocate and celebrator of art and creativity that doesn't have to be traditional or fancy, I wanted to curate a group exhibition that represented Alykat's quirky aesthetic and gave the people of the Coffs Coast community something fun and exciting to indulge in – particularly as we hadn't been able to travel to larger cities where you might have previously got your hit of inspiration.

It was a different experience with so few people to what I’m used to on an Opening night but no shortage of friendly faces, pink appreciation, Fairy flossed drinks, freshly popped popcorn and the awesome and diverse collection of artwork and handmade goods, not to mention the goodie bag of generous fellow local businesses offering deals and vouchers to take home.

We had to make some big changes to ensure everything was Covid-Kosher, but the show did go on and we had multiple evenings that were even more special with limited tickets for only a lucky eight at a time.
